Most people can cope with the odd or even several painful life events as long as they are spread out in time. Usually difficult life episodes can be overcome with help from family and/or friends. In fact difficult experiences can make an individual a stronger person and equip them well for future. However, if the episodes occur one after another and the individual has not had enough time to recover in between, it can become an overwhelming problem. The family and friends support network may also be over stretched and or inappropriate. At a time like that outside professional help may be needed.
